An Viet is a Vietnamese restaurant on Victoria Avenue, Chatswood. Menu includes individual noodle soups and platters for sharing. Its pho uses a beef marrow-bone broth simmered for more than 10 hours with spices including cinnamon, star anise and black cardamom. For a meal you assemble at the table, the beef-in-betel-leaf platter comes with rice paper, vermicelli sheets, herbs, salad and dipping sauces; the beef filling combines lemongrass and onion before being wrapped in the leaves.
