Colourful Yunnan Chatswood opened in November 2024 as the Sydney flagship of a group with several Melbourne restaurants. It cooks across Yunnan's ethnic cuisines rather than one regional style. Chef highlights include a wild mushroom and matsutake chicken hot pot, Dai-style grilled whole chicken, and fried barramundi in a salty, spicy cure. Veil mushroom with shrimp paste and scampi round out the signatures.

Mushrooms are the through-line, and the flavour leans on herbs, wild fungi and cured seasonings more than on the chilli oil of Sichuan cooking. The interior follows a "white peacock under sunlight" design concept, with pretty compact dining area.
